Just a quick note with a few updates.
 
Hotel reservations for the discounted room block for the WYYC closes on July 9th. You can register for a room here now:

Remember, you will not be charged for your room until a few weeks before the event, so if you think you are coming, please get a room reserved now. It won't cost you anything.
 
Lucky's Party:
This year Lucky's party will be free with a hot dog grill out going on. Food and drinks will be for a donation, with proceeds to go to this years charity. Please bring cash, and give what you think it is worth, anything you can donate will be wonderful. We hope to have Bus service this year to Lucky's house, so make sure you bring swim trunks and a towel. The party will be on Thursday Night
 
World on a string sneak preview.
In 2010 a documentary about the WYYC and yo-yoing in general was filmed at the contest. This year we get a sneak preview of this film it will show on the main stage at Midnight on Friday night. We'll have another showing on Saturday.
 
Workshops
This is the official call for workshop teachers. Please get up with us if you want to teach a workshop, or if you want a workshop to be taught that you've thought of.
 
Volunteers
We always need help putting this together. If you want to be a part of behind the scenes, just ask, we'll set you up with admission and feed you breakfast and lunch. We need everything from stage help, to help feeding judges, to help with scoring and registration.  Just drop us a line and let us know.
 
Seeds
If you are or think you are a national seed, get in touch with us. If you are coming and you have a seed to 1A-5A, we need to know before the event, or you will not be able to use your seed. The responsibility is yours.
It also looks like this years AP division will have a cash prize thanks to AtoZ toys and others. More of this soon.
 
Contest Registration
Contest Registration will start soon. Really. Really and truly.
