Where and when will it be this year?

It will be on August 8th, 9th and 10th – 2013 in Orlando, Florida at the RosenĀ  Plaza Hotel. This is a Thursday through Saturday. Keep in mind things start early on the 8th (about 10am EST), and end late on the 9th (sometimes after midnight). The hall actually opens on Wednesday Evening, and the place is packed.

 

Will I have any trouble finding the Rosen Plaza Hotel?

No, the Shuttle from the airport will take you right there (about $19 one way $30 round trip). Just make sure you are going to the Rosen Plaza Hotel, not the Rosen Center Hotel (they look the same from the outside). There is also a city bus that can take you there for about $3.00. We’ll post the bus information under Travel.

 

When can I make my hotel reservation?

Right now, you can make your reservation by phone or on-line. Go to the Travel section for more information.

 

Why do I want to stay in the Rosen Plaza Hotel?

The entire event occurs in the Rosen Plaza Hotel and it’s attached convention center. The event hall will open on the evening of Wednesday August 3rd and will close about 11 PM on Saturday August 6th. There is also a 24 hour restaurant right next to the hall.

 

What if the Rosen is sold out?

We have a bunch of near by back-up hotels. They cost about the same as the Rosen. We will post these hotels as each one becomes filled starting with the nearest hotel, going to the furthest. If you can’t find a room e-mail us.

 

What airport should I fly into?

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is about a 20 minute cab ride from the hotel. This is an international airport, and is the closest airport to Disney World. Many discount airlines fly into Orlando. Check various websites to find the best airfare. These would include www.orbitz.com, www.travelocity.comand www.expedia.com.

 

Parking?

This year the Rosen Plaza Hotel has started to collect a parking fee of $13.00 per day. I’m not sure what this means, and if hotel guests are exempted. We will post information as we get it.
