Pre-Registration for the World Yo-Yo Contest Please read carefully. This year registration has been changed. If you want to compete you must pre-register. There will be no exceptions. If you show up to worlds, you will still be able to attend the event, but you will not be able to enter any of the world divisions. You do not have to pre-pay to pre-register, but if you choose not to pay now, the price you will be charged at the door will be higher than the on-line price. What do I get with my Event Pass? When you pre-register for an event pass you will get admission to the main hall, admission to watch all contests, access to all workshops and the ability to enter the mod contest and the the diabolo ladder. You will also get an event T-shirt and the ability to buy for an extra fee special edition event yo-yos (sorry sold out) , Tickets to Luckys BBQ, and extra event T-shirts. You can also select to enter any of the divisions of the World Yo-Yo Contest. There is a fee for each division entered. What happens if I don't pre-register? You can register at the door. The fee will be higher. You will not get an event T-shirt with your admission (if there are any left you can buy one at the event), you will not be able to buy the special edition yo-yo that is only available to people who pre-register, and you will not be able to enter any of the world yo-yo contest contests. You will have admission to watch all workshops and contests. Can I pre-register now and pay at the door? Yes. If you pre-register now you will get the event t-shirt when you pay at the door. You will not get any early registration discounts, and you can't get an event yo-yo or a ticket to Lucky's BBQ unless you pre-pay. (sorry about that). You will be able to compete in any divisions as long as you pre-register, even if you pay at the door. Can I just get in to see the finals of the contest on Friday and Saturday night Yes, there will be $6.00 tickets at the door that are good for admission after 6:30 to see the final contests on Friday and Saturday night. They are not good for access during the event during the day. They are not available for Thursday or for admission to see the preliminary rounds. These tickets are no available on-line, they will be sold at the event site. Remember you don't need one of these if you have an event pass. I'm not going to be there for the whole event, can I just get a pass for the days I am there? Yes, you can get day passes when you pre-register. Like all the prices, the earlier you buy them, the less they cost. Save money by pre-registering early The price for the event pass changes prices depending on when you pre-register. If you pre-register and pay by credit card on or before June 20th : Price $33.00 If you pre-register and pay by credit card on or before July 5th : Price $38.00 If you pre-register and pay by credit card by July 20th : Price 43.00 If you register at the door or register now and pay at the door: Price $45.00 (but the T-shirt is no longer included, and you can no longer buy the SE Event yo-yo or BBQ tickets.). The price for each division you wish to enter will also change depending on when you pre-register. If you pre-register and pay by credit card on or before June 20th : (1A,2A,3A,4A,5A):$22.00, Combined:$30.00, Ladders: $10.00 If you pre-register and pay by credit card on or before July 5th : (1A,2A,3A,4A,5A):$25.00, Combined:$35.00, Ladders: $10.00 If you pre-register and pay by credit card by July 20th : (1A,2A,3A,4A,5A):$27.00, Combined:$40.00, Ladders: $10.00 If you pre-register now and pay at the door: (1A,2A,3A,4A,5A):$30.00, Combined:$50.00, Ladders: $15.00 You can not enter any of the divisions at worlds if you register at the door. You must pre-register on-line before worlds to compete - EVEN IF YOU DON'T PAY FOR IT NOW. Pre-registration will end on July 20th. After that date you can buy your event pass at the door. You will not be able to enter any divisions after that date. Day passes will be available at the door for $16.00 per day. Tickets for the evening freestyle only (after 6:30pm) will be available at the door. This ticket will not allow floor access or workshop access during the day. The combined division will have a cash prize (one of the reasons this costs more) with prize money going to the top 5 contestants. At this time there will be at least $700 worth of prize money given out in this division, the number may go up. Pre-Registration can be done on-line or by phone.
